Bank Pekao S.A. presents the ESG Knowledge Compendium

In the coming years, the implementation of sustainable development initiatives will become increasingly important, both among large corporations and SMEs. In order to support entrepreneurs who are thinking about implementing ESG activities in their companies, Bank Pekao, together with the monthly My Company, has published the ESG Knowledge Compendium, which is a compilation of key information helpful in running a sustainable business.

More and more companies, but also investors and clients, are seeing the benefits of ESG reporting and how it affects the strategy of companies and the way they are managed. Sustainable development helps to limit the negative effects of climate change, supports building energy independence and co-creating a fair and diverse society.

For years, Bank Pekao has been providing companies with financing for both green and social projects. It also supports entrepreneurs in financial education, believing that their future activities will contribute to building a sustainable future for future generations.

The ESG knowledge compendium explains in a cross-sectional way the principles of implementing the ESG strategy, and then monitoring and reporting activities. The publication also describes three key areas on which the aforementioned perspective is based, namely: the environment (E – environmental), society (S – social) and corporate governance (G – governance).

The authors have not forgotten about the practical aspects of conducting sustainable business activities, i.e. methods of financing activities or outlining the support that can be obtained at Pekao in connection with the transformation of sustainable development.
