Bank Pekao best bank for sustainable financing in 2025

Bank Pekao has once again been recognized as the best in Poland for sustainable finance and awarded the title “The Best Bank for Sustainable Finance in Poland for 2025.” The award is given by the renowned Global Finance magazine.

This global ranking recognizes achievements in sustainable financing, such as financing initiatives to mitigate the negative effects of climate change and support in building a more sustainable future.

Between 2021 and 2024, Bank Pekao has committed more than PLN 35 billion in sustainable financing to support, among other things, the energy transformation of the economy, the development of renewable energy sources, pro-environmental, pro-social and innovative projects.

- We are very pleased that the bank's ESG activities are noticed and appreciated. We take the title of best bank as recognition of our commitment to sustainable financing and the organization of ESG bond issues of customers. The projects implemented in 2024 confirm the bank's activity for climate neutrality of customers and business partners, says Mariusz Bartosewicz, director of the ESG project development office at Bank Pekao.

The title of “The Best Bank for Sustainable Finance in Poland for 2025” is decided by the opinions of specialized business analysts, corporate executives and technology experts. The editors also take into account materials and information submitted by financial service providers, as well as independent research.
