Strong authentication

On 14 September 2019, we introduced an additional verification of your identity (so-called strong authentication), thus you need to enter the SMS code or authorise your operation in the PeoPay application.
  • Show details

    Strong authentication will be required:

    • when you log in for the first time or if there has been 90 days since you have last logged in,
    • while checking your account history for the period earlier than 90 days back,
    • while downloading a third in a row and older bank statements.

Safe logging

While logging, you need to enter the unique client number and PIN, masked password or fingerprint.

SSL – Secure Socket Layer

Order your SMS notifications and set the limit of operations to increase the safety of your transactions.

SMS notifications
The notifications will help you control your account and cards. You can receive notifications regarding, e.g.:
• login attempts,
• limits change,
• effecting transfers (payment rejection),
• effecting transfers exceeding a certain amount,
• cash withdrawal,
• card payments.
You will set the notifications via the website (in the Settings section) or with the assistance of our consultant. You will get them on your mobile provided for the Pekao24 purposes.
Transfer limits
You may set your daily and monthly limit of transactions via Pekao24. The limits are expressed in PLN and include the transactions from all your accounts. If you do not set them yourself, the following default limits will be set automatically: PLN 1 000 per daily limit and PLN 5 000 per monthly limit.
You may change the limit amount via the Pekao24 website, in the application for tablets, by the phone with the assistance of our consultant or at the bank’s branch.
• The daily limit is the maximum transaction amount effected per one day to the accounts which have not been pre-defined; if you make, for example a transfer saved as Rent, it will not decrease your daily limit.
• The monthly limit is the maximum transaction amount that you can instruct per the calendar month, making it the total amount of ALL your transfers.
Limits for online card payments
By calling our consultant, you can pre-define a daily or monthly limit or a maximum number of transactions.
By defining your own limits, you can be absolutely sure that no transaction exceeding the limits will be effected, whether or not the 3D Secure was used.  Please remember that prior to defining your limits, the transactions will be effected up to the available credit card limit or funds in your account, for debit card transactions.
