A manager associated with the financial and insurance industry for over 30 years.
A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and the Faculty of Finance and Banking at the Warsaw School of Economics. He also graduated from Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. He participated in numerous training courses for top management staff, including Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management and Chicago GSB (Booth School of Business).
Fintech co-founder. Expert in the field of business process management. Long-time President of the Management Board of financial institutions. Since May 2020, co-founder of Trasti – insurtech and digital insurer created in joint venture with Triglav DD and Swiss Re, in which he also served as President of the Management Board. Related to the insurance marketamong others both in private and public domains.
In 2014, he was invited by the Management Board of the Poczta Polska Group to cooperate, using his experience and professional knowledge, to create and run Postal Insurance. Within only 4 months from the establishment and obtaining the license, the life company Pocztowe Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń na Życie started its operational activities. At the same time, his team reorganized the activities of the non-life company - Pocztowe Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Wzajemnych, changing its structure and modernizing it towards a multi-brand business model.
He has been associated with the Generali Group for many years, passing through all career levels and various areas of responsibility, starting from the position of manager, through department director, member of the management board, vice-president, until he was offered the position of President of the Group in Poland in 2010. During this period, he underwent numerous specialized training and was the first Pole to complete the Value of Knowledge program for top management staff within the international structures of the Generali Group. During his presidency in Poland, Generali's Polish companies were awarded twice in the group, in 2012 and 2013, for financial results and an increase in business value. In the years 2010-2014, he served as the leader of the multinational, multicultural and diversified management board of the Generali Group in Poland.
He sat on several supervisory boards in Polish financial institutions and pension funds, and served as an independent member in public sector and listed companies. In 2017-2018, he served as a member of the Supervisory Board of Mabion S.A., an innovative drug manufacturer. In 2016, he joined the Supervisory Board of Ciech S.A., where he still serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee.
In March 2023, he was invited to the Program Council of EKF Ubezpieczenia, a conference organized as part of the prestigious European Financial Congress. He serves as a member of the chapter of the Leaders of the World of Banking and Insurance, which awards annual awards to the best banks and insurance companies.
